Finaly some more pictures...

Hej everybody... like always I have to start with a lame excuse why we don't update our blog more often... This time it's because of to much work and slow Internet connection...

What has happened since last time is that we have moved to a new place and that we have a girl from the village living with us. The reason for the move was to save money and to get a better place for Sunshine (since in the last place the pond at our terrace was an never ending story of us checking Sunshine all the time so he wouldn't fall in or throw everything at hand in the water. So far pretty much all of his toys, a mobile phone and miscellaneous other stuff have been in the pond...

Sunshine is running, jumping, dancing, singing, playing and climbing. He also have started to speak a little bit but mostly in Balinese (which I don't know). I always try to speak Swedish to him but Putu and Putu spend more time with him.
He is really developing fast and it's a joy to see him every day!
He is very social to other people and loves other kids - and animals.

The new place is nice... It's on a dead end street on the other side of Monkey Forest on walking distance to Ubud center. Quiet and green and the people in this village is more open and friendly than in the place we left.
Except for the room with kitchen that we sleeping in we have a BIG room to the street, almost like a shop with a lot of windows which out little girl Putu from the village (let us call he "Mboktuuu" as Sunshine does since it means sister Putu in Indonesian) sleeps in the night time and I use as office in the day time.

I've started working with graphic design and it turns out to be pretty good... Still some time before we can live totally from it but I get new customers for websites, flyers, posters and business cards all the time. Right now I'm looking for customers outside of Indonesia so if you know someone... hauler!
(and check out gaia-d.com)

Daddy is coming to visit in December, Mom and her group of 12 people arrives in February, Jenny plan to come within a year and Ola and Maria talking about coming sometime in half a year. Some other visitors are also expected the next year...

I'm just back from a trip from Singapore where I had to go to get my working visa and soon I can work legally in Bali. NICE!

I plan to walk around Bali before Christmas if I can get the time and money. I have invited Putu's Dad to join me and he thought it was an excellent idea but he have problem with his foot so we'll see if he can join. otherwise I might invite our neighbor from the village who helped us with the garden or I just go on my own. I have decided that if someone should come with me they should not speak any english. I plan the hike to take 10-14 days and i expect to stay with Balinese people I meet on the way. The Balinese are very friendly and hospital so I figure it will not be a problem to find places to sleep when I'm walking and have time to stay and make friends. We'll see when this trip will happen...

I think that's pretty much it for this time... Enjoy the picures bellow!

Long time no seen...

Some pics...

Since last time a lot have happened and yet to little.

The most fun was that Jenny was here the least fun was that I got sick while she was. I got pain in my belly and had to go to hospital where they found out that I had a stone blocking my gall bladder. Hurt like hell! That's not just it... They told me that I had infection in other parts of the abdomen so they could not operate me in Negara since they had no intensive care.
After a few days of pumping in antibiotics but not enough help for the pain they sent me to the big hospital in Denpasar in ambulance for operation.
A few days later I got my operation and since then I've healed very well!
Thanks mom, dad and Jenny for taking care of the costs!!!
This is the reason I look more skinny than usual on the pictures.

So... I did not see so much of Jenny but she had fun anyway. Some time we spent together and it was so nice to see her. Luckily she already have her friends here so she can handle herself without me and Putu. She also helped a lot with the practical things like hospital bills and stuff.

And Sunshine ya... He have got 2 teeth (check the pics), started crawling and can stand up by himself now. He starts whining more and more but still it's more and more fun to follow his development. Since I was sick and have to work a lot after that I have not seen him as much as I wanted. Putu and him have been in the village without me 2 weeks.

Putu is fine and she is a lovely mother! But very tired with Sunshine sometimes. I can understand why.

About job and business... Still a fight to make some money but (like I say every time) it's feels very close that it will take air soon.
It is very stressy to always be short of money and have to borrow and pay back when I get some small income and I'm (we are) very tired about it. I've even contacted some of my old colleagues and bosses in Europe to check if there might be some job openings. But it doesn't seem so in the current world situation. It does not feel so good to go back to Sweden without job but I and Putu have talked about it. We decided to give it one more try (since I have a lot of stuff going) and if the situation is not a lot better by September this year we might go back to Sweden.
Well... hopefully you can call me Mr. Lice soon!

Anyway... here's some pictures for you to enjoy!

Putu in hat...

We went one day to check out the off-road competition in Negara.

The DOUBLE rainbow. Have you seen that before? (Notice how the colours are mirrored)

It has been a lot of ceremonies about a month ago. One of them, Nyepi, entire Bali is closed! I mean TOTALY closed... people are not allowed in the streets and even the airport is shut down. But for me this is the best day of the year. No lighs, no sounds, just relaxing and beautiful night!
Here the boys are fireing bamboo cannons to scare away the evil spirits. They use carbid and water to get explosive gas and then... BANG! You can feel it straight into the bones!

Fruit is good for dogs to... Gandhi loves papaya!

The decorations on the street during the holidays. Check out the blinking lights in mine. Is it not awesome?

Sunshine playing with the other (?) dogs...

He crawles so fast, so fast...

Another decoration picture with the beautiful sunset as background.

He have such long arms. So easy to get tired from never being able to relax.

Putu and Sunshine

Sunshine close-up.

His first small teeth! Riskorn (grain of rice) as mom says.

He sure knows how to crawl... He is like a homing missile to stuff he should not touch.

Tanah Lot in sunset... We do tourist stuff sometimes when we have visitors!

Me and my little Sunshine! (notice how extra skinny I am after operation)

Roasting coffee in Putu's moms kitchen over open fire. Shit it's hot! Tha plan was to send the coffee to Sweden for birthday gifts but the shiping was just to expensive for us. But now we have a lot of coffee loving happy friends in Bali!

We found this river about half an hour from the village and went there with some friends who was on Bali.

DAD! Please save me from the decorations! (Standard decorations on a Balinese wedding as you might remeber from our wedding pictures?)

Putu...

Sunshine's future occupation? Safe cracker?

He was so naughty... We put him in a plastic bag and he LIKED it! Hmmm... I see a future of him in dark nightclubs dressed in latex...

They both likes water...

Aunt Jenny visiting...

I also want to swim!!!

That's it for this time... as usual... "I will try to put up more pictures soon"... The one who's alive will see...
